Testimonials

“The things that defined my experience of publishing with Echo Books were the quality of the design effort (as good as from a traditional commercial publisher), the speed of turnaround, and the reasonable cost involved. To my mind, Echo is the obvious choice for any author looking to get a niche book into the online marketplace.”

Chris Clark, author of The Truth about Lasseter.

Testimonials

“For those of you seeking a publisher, look no further; you have reached your destination. I cannot fault Echo Books! From the first enquiry until the publication of my book. Marcus and the team could not have helped me any more. They were engaging, responsive and aware of time-critical tasks. The editing process and the ease of publication were not only seamless but also most enjoyable. If I am ever inspired to publish another book, I will not consider anyone else. I am proud to say that I am a published author through Echo Books!”

Cam James, author of Adventure Lives Here!

Testimonials

“During the publication of my first two books, my experience with Echo Books has been excellent. They provide a service for authors that enables them to self-publish their work, whilst still having the administration required for publication taken care of by someone else. I have found them to be easy to work with and clear and upfront in their communication. I cannot recommend them more highly.”

Roger Marsh, author of Echoes in the Wind and A Wind of Bitter Tears.

Testimonials

“My book was published by Echo Books. They had access to a fine collection of skilled and gifted professionals, and so the experience from manuscript to final publication was smooth and stress-free. I found the whole process enjoyable and the end product wonderful. The design of the book cover was intricate and beautiful, the editor had a superb understanding of the structure, the flow of narrative and a very fine eye for detail and the index was the icing on the cake. Well done, Marcus and team!”

Sandra Burchill, author of An Unlikely Socialist: Henry Hyde Champion and the Women He Loved.

Testimonials

“Echo Books published two of my books. Marcus is a genuine professional who produces books of quality. I am a client of his forevermore.”

Everald Compton, author of A Beautiful Sunset and Catching the Linville Train.

Testimonials

“I have found Echo Publishing to be thoroughly professional in the publication of my book, 'The Golden Age of Australian Women's Squash'. They made every effort to meet my deadlines, and the book was a quality product and very well received. They also made arrangements for the product to be distributed on the World Wide Web. Highly recommended."

Barbara Slotemaker de Bruine, AM, author of The Golden Age of Australian Women's Squash.

Testimonials

“It has been a great fortune in my writing journey that I have had my first two novels, The Flower Bed and Two Minutes, published by Marcus Fielding and Echo Books. The turnaround time from the first manuscript to the published version is always exceptionally prompt, yet, notwithstanding Marcus’ prompt service, Echo’s services ensure that the final published product is of an exceptional level of quality.

Echo’s print-on-demand publishing service is far more author-focused regarding the creative content of the published product, and the cynicism of the ‘commerciality’ of traditional publishing, the nature of which butchers the writer’s creativity, is absent from Echo’s publishing environment.

Undoubtedly, the crowning glory of Echo Books is their post-publication service, an environment in which Marcus ensures the same prompt delivery as during the book's pre-publication phase. I highly recommend Echo Books to any author, whether they are already published or embarking on publication.”

Michael Springer, author of The Flower Bed and Two Minutes.

Testimonials

“I was first drawn to Echo Books in 2018 when I saw the quality of the look and feel of a book by (Dr) Kristen Alexander, another historian writing about the Second World War. This book did not appear to be self-published; the quality of the paper, internal design, and, most of all, the cover design.

Working with my images and some ideas, Echo designed a cover for my book Shooting Through, with which I am delighted. I work in public libraries, and I find that often a self-published book screams that it is self-published. Still, in order to attract readers (and book buyers) in libraries, and also buyers who visit shops (in-store and online sellers), a book needs to look professional. With a quality-looking product from Echo, I was also able to apply for, and secure, consignments in mainstream stores like Dymocks, Bookface, Harry Hartog, Maclean's (Newcastle) and Royal Historical Society Victoria and other outlets in Australia.

I value Echo also for the work we did together for the webpage on their site for my book. My publisher at Echo offered suggestions and acted promptly on my requests, and a pleasure to work with them. I was provided with a professional email circular to easily inform my large contact list. Published in 2019, Echo have continued to sell internationally, and I am excited to see my royalties trickling in still in 2025! I still can buy up quantities of my book for my home stash so that I can also sign and sell directly to buyers and for donations. Although I did not convert my book to an ebook, should I publish again with Echo, I will probably take that option too.

Marcus is prompt with his communications and responses to my queries. He is a pleasure to work with, and as an author, he is passionate about publishing. Thank you, Echo, for a wonderful introduction to being a published author.”

Katrina Kittel, author of Shooting Through.

Testimonials

“I have published titles with two other Australian companies, but my latest work, ‘First to Serve and Sacrifice’, was published by Echo Books in October 2025.

From start to finish, my experience with them has been one of satisfaction and pleasure. I have appreciated their thorough and efficient handling of the process, especially at the ‘tricky’ stages of final proofreading and editing. No small ‘typo’ change or error of omission on my behalf was too difficult for them to make right, and I was especially pleased with this aspect of their online service.

The finished product was a book of which I can be especially pleased to hold my name. With a striking AI-generated colourful front and back covers in a hardback form, printed on excellent quality white paper, the printing process of the book also reproduced century-old photographs to a high level of quality.

The timeline of delivering the manuscript to Echo Books and receiving a printed book in my hands did not take long at all, and with the very quick, sometimes overnight, turnaround of the manuscript, the process was seamless and efficient.

I now look forward to also using the free online page they have created for my new book and am pleased with this facility, which is part of the package deal for an author with Echo Books.

I can heartily recommend any author making use of Echo Books as their publisher due to their professionalism, care, and speed of process.”

Daryl Moran, author of First to Serve and Sacrifice.

“My experience publishing four books with Echo Books has been excellent regarding personal attention, convenience, responsiveness and post-publication support with supplying books affordably. Testimonials

“I have published three books with Echo and recommend them thoroughly. Marcus and his team have been extremely professional and helpful at every step along the way. They offer a variety of services and a genuine commitment to quality. Marcus has written several excellent books himself and fully understands the commitment and passion required to do so. You will be in very good hands.”
